We looked at a few spots based around Laoag

The first place we visited was a beach called Currimao beach

It was side on shore(NW) even when the prevailing wind was NE, probably something to do with the coast line.

There were some hotels on the beach

Next we went to a place called the Boracay of the north 'Pagudpud'

they have a wind farm there so you would expect strong consistent winds, but the day we were there was no wind anywhere.
No wind this time but the locals said it blows good.
Last stop was a place called Fort Illocandia resort
The beach is around 10miles long a decent surf(1-1.5 meter the day I was there) to play in and a very consistant side on shore (45deg) the wind starts round 11am and gets increasingly stronger during the day. 14m kite at 11am, 12m at 1pm, and after 2.30 I was powered up on my 9m.

Found a nice place to clean kites sorry no Cabrinha

To get there you must first fly to Manila then transfer to a domestic flight to LAOAG (abour 45min )
